From late May to early October, you can take part in a guided tour of the Annastollen two days a week:
Wednesdays at 1:45 PM
Individuals, families, and small groups can move around the facility freely and free of charge during production hours and experience the production of loden up close. A “red thread” helps show the way to the various production points.
There are information boards at all stations explaining the individual machines and processes.
Opening hours for tours:
Monday – Thursday: 9 AM – 12 PM and 1 PM – 5 PM
Friday: 9 AM – 12 PM and 1 PM – 4 PM
Experience alpine farming, where “Ennstaler Steirerkas” cheese and butter are made from alpine milk and can be tasted right away on a slice of bread. We run the alpine pasture with a lot of passion, just like our ancestors did hundreds of years ago when salt carriers still crossed the mountain paths and recharged with food and drink from the dairymaids. “A zwoa, a drei Krapfen und a Kasbröckl drauf, is auf der Ritzingerhütte allweil der Brauch.” The sweet doughnuts – also known as “Bauernkrapfen” – with delicious apricot jam and alpine coffee are a culinary delight close to heaven! The cows are already waiting to be milked – fresh milk, which we churn into delicious alpine butter – and then there’s the buttermilk too. And we make the Steirerkas ourselves – of which they say: love it or leave it!
You could finish off with a little stone pine schnapps from our own distillery.
